Prayer is talking to God. Meditation is listening to all what He/She says. Meditating with the Lifeforce Current brings us closer to our ultimate reality, or truth.
So we can say; I am truth and, be in harmony with all. Sat Nam
While practicing Sant Mat, there is little to do; meditating with this audible, luminous current one attunes one’s self with the all sustaining life-force; reaching self and God-realization.
It is an easy, natural way of meditation and can be learned in an hour or two. Two hours of daily meditation are recomended, but even half an hour is enough to find one`s center within our demanding lifestyles.
In addition to meditation we should observe five virtues and drop their opposites in thought, word and action. These five virtues are:
* Nonviolence
* Truthfulness
* Selfcontrol
* Humility
* Being Content
Nonviolence: in word; means no back-biting, in action: not to harm oneself with a harmful lifestyle and no killing; thus observing the vegetarian diet.
Truthfulness: to oneself and to others. This includes no lying, no illegal gain, and honesty in business. Moreover, being content of what we have; no envy.
